Botox, Vitamins and Hyaluronic acid were pressed into my skin. Here’s how it happened.

We all know about Botox injections and Dermal fillers. This treatment combines all three, and I was intrigued by it so I decided to give this a shot. AquaGold is a treatment that uses a superficial Botox injection. It is only available at Skinly Aesthetics on the Upper East Side of NYC. Although I’ve had Botox and other dermal fillers before, I didn’t know that they could be injected subcutaneously to treat my skin. AquaGold involves injecting a customized solution using a microneedling device that is gold-plated. My skin is generally healthy, with the exception of some larger pores than I would like and a few blackheads. As someone with generally good skin, I was curious to see if the treatment would work for me.

I made an appointment with Dr. Schwarzburg, M.D. As he explained to me AquaGold is safe for almost everyone. Because my skin tends to dry, the moisturizing benefit of AquaGold works well for me. Because I’m always obsessed with all the scientific terms surrounding my treatments I went to this website to get more information.

There are several ways that the treatment can be performed. The microneedling tool injects the serum with Botox, Hyaluronic acid, Peptides and Vitamin C. This is intended to reduce your pores and deliver hydrophilic molecules to your skin. You can learn more about Botox, and how it works, by visiting their website. The Hyaluronic acid hydrates your skin while the Peptides, Vitamin C and Vitamin C provide direct nourishment.

The procedure was quick, and I received three sessions in a span of three weeks. My face was cleaned and a lidocaine-based topical numbing cream was applied to my skin. My face was washed and the numbing cream was then removed. AquaGold was only about the same size as a thumb. This made it much easier than any other skin treatments that I have used. The tool is basically a set of small needles that can penetrate up to 4mm into the skin. Because the needles are hollow, you can inject the serum directly into your skin. Although it sounds terrible, I was actually quite pleased with how painless and quick the treatment was, particularly when using the numbing cream. The entire process took around 15 minutes and I was able to leave with the serum on my face. I was instructed not to wash my face before I went to bed.

I experienced a few breakouts over the next 3 to 5 days after the first session. This was normal and something I expected. After my breakout, I saw a slight decrease in my pores’ size, but nothing too dramatic. Because the treatment works over several sessions, I expected to see very little or no results after my first session. My second session was one week later, and my third session came after the second week.

I saw a significant improvement in the size and dryness of my pores after the third session. My skin felt plumper and more hydrated after the third session. This was probably due to the Vitamin C and hyaluronic acids that I received.

Overall, I was pleased with the results. However, I recommend that you do at least two sessions to get the best results. Although one session can make a significant difference, three sessions was enough to really see the results.

To make sure you are eligible for this treatment, it is important to speak with a qualified medical professional.
